I am going to tell you how to build your own opt-in list effectively and in the fastest time, but before I tell you how to do it, I am going to tell you what to avoid and how to not build your e-mail list in the right way.
The wrong way to build an e-mail list is to simply ask people to sign up to be on your e-mail list. You might see a lot of web sites out there that say, “Join our list to receive future updates, or something along those lines. They don’t give you any real reason to join their list, to receive e-mail information, and offers from them. If you have this kind of list, you might find that you get a few responses. You might have a few people sign up every week, but you’ll never build a huge e-mail list in a fast time using this method.
You’ve got to give people a good reason to sign up for your e-mail list. You’ve got to give them a reason why they should sign up.
Why would they want to be a part of your list? There are many mailing lists out there, and the people on these lists get junk mail from all the time. Why would they want to sign up for something and actually say, “Yes, please send me something!” “Please send me offers!” “Please send me information from you!” You’ve got to give them a good reason to say, “Yes, please include me in your list!”
